Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about the product and assessment workflow.

These answers explain the website and application boundary, how access works, and where professional review remains necessary.

Does Wind Calculator replace an engineer?

No. It supports the assessment and reporting process but does not replace professional judgement or engineering advice where required.

Does the software automatically choose every wind parameter?

It may provide site-derived suggestions, but the user must review and confirm the final inputs.

Is the report an engineering certificate?

No. It is a structured report generated from user-confirmed assessment inputs. It is not an engineering certificate or professional sign-off.

Who is the software designed for?

Building professionals and competent users familiar with wind-classification inputs and project requirements.

What happens when LiDAR is unavailable?

The software identifies the alternative data source and alerts the user where lower-resolution or mixed data is used.

Can the report be used for council, certification or design?

Acceptance depends on the project, jurisdiction, approving authority, recipient requirements and the qualifications of the person preparing or relying on the assessment. The software does not guarantee that a report will be accepted for certification, approval or design purposes. Users should confirm the recipient’s requirements and obtain professional review where required.

Does the software guarantee compliance with AS 4055 or the NCC?

No. It assists with the assessment workflow, but the user remains responsible for applicability, inputs, interpretation and project compliance.

Does this website reproduce AS 4055?

No. The website refers to the standard because it is relevant to the product, but it does not publish protected tables, maps, formulas, clause text, values or decision rules.

Where do registration and login happen?

During beta, access arrangements will be supplied to selected testers. Customer accounts, payments and saved-assessment features are not available on this marketing website.

Where are payments processed?

Any paid access and Stripe payment processing occur in the separate application. This website does not collect card details or configure Stripe.
